The Cure m
ade a special appearance for the taping of "MTV Unplugged: Korn" on December 9th. The highlight of the evening - for both Jonathan Davis and his audience - was the arrival of Robert Smith and the rest of his band, the Cure (guitarist Porl Thompson, bassist Simon Gallup and drummer Jason Cooper), for an acoustic mash-
up that blended Korn's "Make Me Bad" with the Cure's "In Between Days.""MTV Unplugged: Korn" will be released on CD February 20 and air online February 10 and on TV February 17.

The 'UltraCURE' prototype made it's stage debut on the CURE's European Festival dates 2004, and after some fine tuning, the finished production model was used by Robert as his main guitar on the American CURIOSA '04 dates.
Designed from the ground up by Robert, the 'UltraCURE' comes in nightblack gloss and features a set-in neck, oversized Mahogany body, Seymour Duncan vintage '59 humbuckers, and a TonePros bridge. Robert has also added a couple of very personal touches: a 'CUREStars & Moon' dark pearl inlay design on the fretboard, and his distinctive signature on the headstock.
